This website is operated by the Wakinga community project ("we", "us"). This notice explains what information we collect, why, and your rights. We follow the Tanzania Personal Data Protection Act, 2022 (PDPA).

1. What we collect

Nothing automatically. This site does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts. We do not place any tracking cookies.

We collect information only when you contact us voluntarily — for example, by email, WhatsApp, or telephone. This typically means your name, contact details, and the content of your message.

2. Why we collect it

We use contact information only to respond to your message and, where relevant, to document contributions to the Wakinga project (with your consent).

3. Who has access

Only the Wakinga project team. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with advertisers or data brokers.

4. How long we keep it

We keep contact messages only as long as needed to respond or to complete the work you asked about.

5. Your rights under PDPA

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Object to processing
• Lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) of Tanzania
